Claire is a short lady who likes to paint on large canvases. She uses mostly acrylics with touches of pastel, spray paint. Metallic leaf and/or texture. She uses all the tools: brushes, palette knives, scarpers, and frequently my fingers.

She is a lifelong native of Southern Louisiana and her art is heavily influenced by the diversity of marshy landscapes and river industry so prevalent there. Her abstracts evolve from a deep imagination and exploration of color, form, and medium, often mixing all three until the image is pleasing and balanced. She constantly explores with new color palettes from bright to soft, bold to light.

Art is therapy to her on so many levels. She approaches her canvases like she approaches life: the journey should be an adventurous one. She works in a quaint downtown studio alongside incredible artists of all genres and a dog named Levi.
